NEET 2020 Counselling Dates, Registration, Fees and Process

MCC will commence NEET Counselling and Seat Allotment for MBBS/ BDS seats under 15% All India Quota soon after the declaration of result. However, State level counselling for 85% seats will be organized separately by the respective state authorities. Counselling for 15% All India Quota seats will be administrated by Medical Counselling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services.

Who is Eligible for NEET Counselling?

Candidates who will qualify the NEET 2020 will be eligible to apply for counselling.
Candidates who will obtain a minimum of 50th percentile (40th percentile for SC/ ST/ OBC and 45th percentile for general-physically handicapped) in NEET 2020 will be considered qualified in the exam.
Further, the ministry releases a list of qualified candidates under All India Quota excluding candidates from Jammu and Kashmir to take part in 15% AIQ Counselling.

Education Loan Repayment Post Completing the MBBS Course

The repayment in an educational loan starts when the student completes the educational course. As in MBBS case the course duration is approximately 5.5 years, so to do the repayment, you first need to know some rules which are as follows:
Moratorium Period:- Before your loan repayment starts, the lender will offer you a 6-12 months moratorium period in which you have to find a stable job to repay the borrowed loan amount.
Interest Rate During Moratorium Period:- Simple interest rate will be charged during the moratorium period of your education loan. And some lenders may also provide concessions of 0.5-1.00%.
Reduction in Moratorium Period:- Your education loan moratorium period is reduced to 6 months if you secure a job after the course completion, otherwise, it can be 12 months.

MBBS ELIGIBILITY

All Medical colleges follow eligibility criteria described by their affiliated university for MBBS admission in India. India(as of 2020) has currently 532 medical colleges that trains ~80000 medical students as per Medical Council of India. Out of 532, 278 are government colleges and 256 are private colleges. 15% of all college seats are filled by central government and remaining seats are filled by state governments for government colleges. Fees for these government seats vary from 12,000 to 4,00,000 per year depending on the college, admission is sought. For private colleges tuition fees ranges from Rs 3,80,000 to 21,00,000 per year.

MBBS IN INDIA ELIGIBILITY

Students who have passed 10+2 exam with physics, chemistry and biology(Zoology & Botany) are eligible for admission into MBBS course. Student must be an Indian National for admission through All India Entrance Exam (NEET). Student should have completed 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission. Student should get Qualifying score in NEET exam. During 2019, the qualifying NEET score was 134 for OC and 107 for reserved category.

MBBS ADMISSION COUNSELLING IN INDIA

Bangladesh MBBS Course Duration 5 years (Session 2020-2021)

• Must have passed qualifying examinations (HSC/ ‘A’ level) or equivalent examination.
